DISNEY PARADE – DRIVE BY BIRTHDAY CARAVAN

Birthday parties have always been a really big deal around here, and when my only child was about to turn 3 in the middle of a quarantine I had to get creative. Every year she has a huge party, but this year it wouldn’t be possible. We usually take her to Disney the week of her birthday as well, but Disney was closed. So my mom and I started brainstorming and decided to bring a little Disney magic to the birthday girl and all of her friends during quarantine.

Birthday caravans have definitely gained popularity during the quarantine, however we took it up a notch and started the caravan with a Disney parade. The whole Mickey Mouse Clubhouse gang came to visit (their hands and faces were covered, so I felt safe being around them) and they rode on a train to start our Disney Parade.

I have tons of pictures, but the video is my favorite part because you really get to see it all. Here’s a little magic from Charlie’s 3rd birthday…

Charlie’s Disney Parade – Quarantine Birthday

Let’s start with the decor…. Fiestas Depot in Miami made our balloon arch and the balloon number 3. The yard sign with the birthday girls name came from Sign Gypsies Miami.

Then we hired the 6 Mickey Mouse Clubhouse gang characters from Fancy Entertainment. Each character had a job during the parade and they were spread out around the property. As the cars drove in the caravan, they first encountered Donald and Daisy. They were handing out little party favors – maracas to make some noise for the birthday girl and little coloring books for each child. Next they saw Goofy that was dancing and saying hello. Once they rounded the corner they found Pluto that was collecting all the birthday gifts. Finally was Mickey and Minnie standing under the balloon arch with the birthday girl.

Meeting all the characters before the parade

But before finding their way to their spot, the characters came to meet the birthday girl. They then jumped on a train we got from Ponies & Petting Zoos. The train drove down the block to see all of the children waiting in the cars and began the caravan.

Ready to start the parade

Then it was finally time for all of the kids to drive by to see the birthday girl (and all of the characters).

The birthday parade was huge success and the birthday girl had a magical day!!!

This was a great option since Disney is closed and we can’t have a party. She had so much fun. A birthday parade is a great option.
